For Someone Who Needs A Bit of Inspiration

(Shop Small! 🧡)

Whitney Howard Designs

My dear friend Whitney at Whitney Howard Designs makes these little stamped and affordable trinkets that are perfectly appropriate for men and women alike: puzzle pieces, blessing rings, cuffs and more with inspiration words and love thoughts. I LOVE these! The puzzle pieces are my favorite! Each one says, “I Am” on one side and then just one beautiful word on the other (mine says, “Fearless” ☺️) I had the kids pick out a word for each teacher they have and bought a bunch of them! This store is already so reasonable but as a nod to my readers, Use the Code: CHERI20 to get 20% off your entire order and it’s good thru 2022!Spend over $50 for free shipping too!

For the Game Player

One Night Ultimate Werewolf

Big on fun but short on time? This game is a BLAST! I honestly have never played with anyone who didn’t just love it! It is appropriate for everyone starting at about age 6 or so… you won’t even leave grandma out! Super fun! Super easy! And the best part? The whole game is only FIVE minutes! Woot!!! Be sure to download the app to get the full experience.

For the Teen

Bluetooth Beanie Hat

Got a super cool kid that wants to stay warm and tune everybody out?? 😂 How about a winter hat with built in bluetooth headphones?

I like this one and here is one that is a bit girlier that is so pretty too.

For the Bold and Stylish Conversationalist

SuperLoveTees

A lot of you often ask about my cute tees. I can really rock a conversation tee ☺️ and SuperLoveTees make my absolute faves. Use the Code: CHERI for 10% off your entire order or go here and the discount automatically applies to your shopping cart.

Here’s me in a bunch of SuperLoveTees!

For the Popcorn Lover

Original Salbree Silicone Microwave Popcorn Popper

Ok, if you know me then you know popcorn is my…obsession. 😂 I LOVE popcorn! But those super unhealthy microwave bags of popcorn and messy air poppers make it so hard! This thing has solved all problems! Now I make old bay spicy popcorn, pumpkin spice popcorn, good old fashioned salt and butter popcorn and more in only three minutes! The healthiest versions of all!

For the Hip and Cool Meditator! Yay!

(Shop Small! 🧡

Rose and Moksha

My girl Carolyn runs the company, Rose and Moksha and has beautiful jewelry including custom mala designs for the meditator that also wants to look gorgeous! Use the code: STRESSTHERAPIST for 10% off your entire order, good until 1/1/22.

Here’s me wearing a sunstone mala creation by Rose and Moksha(I LOVE the little smiley face charm ☺️)

For the Health Nut

Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbbells

Everybody needs strength training, right? But, who needs a zillion dumbbells when you can roll all the weights into one pair of adjustable dumbbells? Just dial up whatever the workout calls for! I am loving these…I even bought the stand that goes along with them. I know, I know, this may run ya, but I guarantee it’s cheaper than buying every variation…even if you find them used. Brilliant!

Tablift Tablet Stand

This thing is the best! It’s super sturdy, easily adjustable and portable. We drag it from the kitchen for recipes and right onto the couch for sitcoms. Plus, it’s great on vacation when everyone wants to watch a movie and the TV isn’t compatible, you can just place it on the table, voila! It’s a little pricey, but so worth it!

For the Art Lover

(Shop Small! 🧡

Jen Singh Art Studio

Yes, for the art lover, but also pretty much anyone that loves beautiful things. The art that my friend Jen makes virtually everyone would enjoy. It is a lovely opportunity to buy someone something truly original and beautiful and the bonus is, it’s affordable! I made my mother-in-law’s day with a metal print of hummingbird and I still use the postcards by Jen (but only for my favorite people!) And they always end up framing them. Check out these hand painted ornaments! I LOVE them! Use the Code: magic20 at checkout for 20% off expires 12/20.

For When You’re at a Loss…But a Gift Card Just Won’t Do

This Candle Or This Candle

Who doesn’t love an amazing smelling candle? The manifestation candle uncovers crystals and lovely things as it burns and the purification candle burns sage and lavender. Both smell divine. I bought five of each and keep them in a drawer for gifts in a pinch.

For the Friend that’s Always Cold

Ororo Wear

How about a heated hoodie, vest or jacket? My man wears this thing every day! So comfy and luxurious and warm. Get in on 20% off right now on their holiday sale.

For the Audiobook/Music Listener

Bluetooth Sleep Eye Mask

I absolutely love having someone read me to sleep, but my husband isn’t always available… 😂 I’ve literally tried dozens of eye masks with bluetooth and these are my favorite for the winter. Also works if you like to listen to music as you fall asleep or even if you are a “beditator!”

A book ALWAYS makes a great gift!

For the Creative Teen Reader

In the Wild Light by Jeff Zentner

An excellent look at coming of age with difficult themes but still age-appropriate. I feel like some of these YA books are not for young adults but for regular adults. I’m gonna give this to my 12-year-old to read. He is the perfect age for this book.

This is written beautifully too. So, if you have a tween or a teenager that’s interested in poetry or writing it’s an added bonus.

For the Tween (Adult or Senior!) Reader Looking For a Feel Good Seasonal Read
A Boy Called Christmas by Matt HaigSo sweet! I love these books that explain all the reasons and ways that Santa has come to be…also, the fact it doesn’t take place in our own backyard is fun too. 🎅The kids and I loved this one…we read the book and listened. Both are lovely.Wait. What? It’s a series?? Yesssssssssssss. Let’s do this!
For the New Year’s Resolutionist Reader

The Lazy Genius Way by Kendra Adachi

If you’re a mom with little ones you likely know most of these tips already but nice reminders and certainly a nice, kickstart to a new year of getting it all done!

For the Reader that Appreciates Good Comedy (but with a Foul Mouth 😂)

Superb. The author’s talent to turn despair into roaring laughter is unprecedented. I definitely put this one on my kids’ college must read list for down the road. It’s a THINKER. Also, takes place in Atlanta which is always fun. Loved it.

For the Reader that Wants a Love Story with a BIG Twist

How to Stop Time by Matt Haig

From the perspective of a guy that is legit over 400 years old…I love everything about this book…a unique story, a bit of mystery, a love story, some sci fi and a beautiful message. LOVED all of it. I will miss these characters terribly.

“I understand that the way to stop time is to stop being ruled by it.”

“Free from fear, ask yourself… Who am I?”

Loved it!

For the Reader that Loves a Speedy Sci-Fi

Constance by Matthew FitzSimmons

Either I’ve never read anything like this or this is a genre that I have not explored. I couldn’t believe how many creative thoughts this author had for one book! Every single turn I’m floored. This was really fun to read and way, way out there.

For the Reader that Wants Creepy…Any Time of the Year

We Have Always Lived In The Castle by Shirley Jackson

This book is so me! Super creeps!!! This book is how ghost stories and haunted houses are born. See if you can read it without singing to yourself whatever haunted song comes to mind…me?

“One, two Freddy’s comin’ for you…”

Shivers.

Awesome.

For The Reader that Loves Historical Fiction (with a Witchy side!)

The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner

This book was right up my alley…historical fiction, a bit of feminism, a little magic, somewhat of a mystery, some suspense, a bit creepy. Well done!

For the Reader that’s Interested in the Science of Mental Health Hidden Valley Road: The Mind of An American Family by Robert Kolker

From 1994-2006 I worked as a psychiatric social worker. The practice I worked with had a specialty in schizophrenia, so it naturally became mine. This book was not only a trip down memory lane (some of these meds and side effects and even symptoms of the illness I hadn’t heard in years), but it also elicited a nostalgia for the over 60 people suffering from schizophrenia that I saw every Tuesday in our clozapine clinic.

I loved this job. I loved these people. I loved this book.

For the Reader that Wants a Mystery That Quickly Delivers

The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave

Excellent. Love beyond the mystery. I even cried a little at the end. 🧡

For the Reader Looking for A Page Turner with a Fluffy Nod to 80s

Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid

A compelling story complete with 80s nostalgia. Plus, Julia Whalen reads so it’s made all the better with a great audiobook pick.
