So, this week is Thanksgiving! Whoohoooooooo!

I absolutely love Thanksgiving and all that it represents. I mean, a whole holiday devoted to gratitude?? Yessssssssss.

Gratitude is finally getting all of the credit that it deserves. We know now that gratitude is so good for your mind, body and soul. Expressing gratitude daily makes us healthier and happier.

If you get a chance listen to my Thanksgiving episode on gratitude.  My boy had the following to say about it!

“It’s a completely different take on gratitude.” -Owen Flake

I think this is because gratitude forces you to be in the moment that you’re inGratitude is a bit like mindfulness in disguise. You have to assess exactly where you are right now in this moment, without looking to the future, without thinking about your goals, without looking at regret or things that got you down in the past or things that make you anxious in the future. You are forced to look at right…Now. And then, just be thankful.

Starting exactly where you are and filling yourself to the top with all the love and bliss and abundance that you already have, feels amazing. No wonder this cures us! There’s no competition, there’s no failing, there’s no nothing but all the blessings surrounding you in the very moment you are in.

Wishing you the most magical, wonderful, beautiful Thanksgiving yet!

With metta,

Cheri

Big Love BOOKS

Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough  – https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/28965131-behind-her-eyes

Holy crap! This book is brilliant! What a psychological thriller ride! I could not put it down and never ever could have predicted…whoa. I’m still thinking on this one and finished it a month ago…I have not seen the Netflix series, but I can stand by the book…BIG BIG Love.

The Institute by Stephen King – https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/43798285-the-institute Ok, I know what you’re thinking…and yes, Stephen King books can be terrifying and well, kinda strange. Besides the nod to Maine, kids with telepathy and the all knowing homeless wanderer, you’d never know this was a King novel. Instead be prepared to be on the edge of your seat the entire time…eek! This one is so good!!

Something to Live For by Richard Roper – https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/54254605-something-to-live-for

The synopsis of this book sounds like it’s about death and might be a downer, but it truly is anything but…instead prepare to get schooled on living.
