Hello lovely readers!

We hear a lot of talk about “thinking positive” and “keeping your chin up,” and I am certainly in the camp that believes that making sure that your thoughts are in alignment with what you want is going to make your life better.

But, why, then is it so incredibly hard to do? Maybe it’s because “misery loves company,” or simply because so many of us still need to “see it to believe it,” but it’s hard to stay positive and count on the best outcome sometimes. It’s seems even harder to watch our loved ones do it when we think that they’ll probably end up disappointed.

So, we prepare for the worst. We wouldn’t want to be disappointed. We don’t put all of eggs in one basket.

I think that we all have a tendency to want to be right more than anything in the world. Sometimes even more than we want to be happy.

If thoughts are things…and there is more and more evidence that this is truly the case, then we are more in control of our destiny than we think and what we think about we bring about whether we believe it or not.

Incidentally, a great book that illustrates just this is The Field by Lynne McTaggart.

So, if we prepare to be disappointed, we are. If we talk about what could go wrong, it does.

Someone recently said to me, “If you want A, but prepare for B, B always happens.” Hmmm…

Why not decide to be right and happy? Go ahead and think that it’s possible, that it will work out and that you’ll be better than ok.

Just a thought,

Cheri
