Hey beautiful!

Our Jekyll Island retreat was a great success! Y’all, people brought their families and their dogs and just had a lovely beach trip sprinkled with mini meditation and yoga getaways all through the long weekend. It was a dream come true for me…a beach trip where you are mostly on your own but occasionally go to the most beautiful parts of the island to meditate and do yoga! YES. Here is what a few retreatants had to say:

This retreat was such a relaxing time. I learned so much while enjoying the surroundings. Jekyll was just right andI can’t wait to bring my family next time!! -Olivia, Decatur, GA

So, we are doing it again! Click here to learn about our Jekyll Island retreat coming up this Fall!

Are you having trouble getting a new habit to stick? Most of us are working on one thing or another…or wishing that we could get something in our lives with regularity. And for some of us, it might be a daily meditation practice, right?

You are in luck and lovin’ it!

THE davidji was on my podcast this week! There were SO many good nuggets of wisdom from this guy, I highly recommend that you listen to it on Spotify.

If Spotify is not your thing go here to find the perfect listening platform for you!

We talked about how to make meditation a daily thing and how meditation in particular, may be a bit more difficult to get in daily than other habits that you may be working on.

Here is the #1 way that you can make meditation habitualfeel free to add these practical tips on whatever new habit you’re working on as well!

Ritualize it with RPM! When I first met davidji (I think it was around16 years ago or so!), my biggest take away was this concept of RPM.

Do you know what this is? It means Rise, Pee, Meditate.

The idea is this: if you ritualize the new behavior that you want in your life you don’t have to “find the time” for the new healthy habit anymore. You just link it on to something that you’re already doing regularly and BAM! There it is!

Brilliant right?

So, for me I couldn’t actually pull this off because I noticed that the entire time I was meditating I was thinking about my teeth. So, I tweaked it and now, I actually use RPBM: Rise, Pee, Brush my chomps, Meditate! DONE!

If I always do it after I brush my teeth, that I never miss a meditation! This is only one little nugget that I discussed with davidji! I mean it, you do not want to miss this interview!

We covered a lot on how to make a meditation habit (or any habit really) stick, but also touched on all of the amazing benefits that he himself has gotten from a daily meditation practice. At the end of the chat, he actually brings us into a wonderful meditation together.

It was a blast!

I also have one more announcement! Our Georgia mountain immersion retreat is coming up this June! I extended the early bird special until April 15 so you got to get on this because it’s already filling up, no kidding!

I highly suspect this well deserved attention can be attributed to  the super magical, beautiful, incredibly brilliant yoga teacher accompanying us on this mountain retreat. Meet Cindy Dollar , an Iyengar teacher from Asheville that is one of my favorite people!

Go here to learn more and sign up for this retreat because I’m absolutely certain it’s going to fill up!

That’s all for now, love you so much!

With Metta,

Cheri

davidji was named in USA Today last week as one of the top five meditation teachers to follow in 2022!

Also, if you’ve listened to Meditation…WTF? Please go here to give us some love!
