Your brain likes to regulate everything in your body so it hums and works perfectly. Unfortunately, this often includes manipulating your thoughts and your behaviors, as well. Your brain is obsessed with status quo and sameness because it has kept you safe and sound in the past. This is good in some ways, I mean, who wants to think about breathing all day? But it also can keep your good ideas and desires and from coming to their fruition. Your brain will do anything to hold you back and keep you doing what’s been working just fine.
